Trinity-Bellwoods

Toronto's iconic park neighbourhood, effortlessly cool

About Trinity-Bellwoods

Trinity-Bellwoods is the neighbourhood that launched a thousand Toronto cliches, and it has earned every one of them. The park itself, a sprawling greenspace running from Dundas down to Queen, is the social living room of the west end, packed on summer weekends with picnickers, dog walkers, drum circles, and the occasional celebrity spotting. The surrounding streets are lined with Victorian row houses painted in candy colours, their front porches serving as unofficial patios for a population of creatives, tech workers, young families, and longtime Portuguese and Vietnamese residents. Queen Street West, which forms the neighbourhood's southern boundary, is a legendary commercial strip of vintage shops, galleries, bars, and restaurants, including the Drake Hotel, which helped catalyze the area's transformation from working-class neighbourhood to cultural hotspot. Dundas West adds more dining and drinking options, while the independent shops along Ossington Avenue have developed their own following. It is a neighbourhood where you can get a third-wave coffee, a Portuguese custard tart, and a bowl of pho within a two-block walk.
