Located in the Don Valley between Eglinton Avenue East and the Don Valley Parkway, the neighbourhood was developed in the 1960s as a planned community of apartment towers and townhouses, designed to provide affordable modern housing for a growing city. The apartment buildings that define Flemingdon Park's skyline house a population drawn from every corner of the globe, with particularly significant Afghan, Ethiopian, Somali, Tamil, and South Asian communities.
